It’s a challenging Arm balance pose which increases strength and balance, opens the hips.

 

Sanskrit Name/ Eka Pada Galavasana

Pose Level-2

Contraindications and Cautions:

High blood Pressure, Wrists and shoulder injury, Headache, Sciatica.

 

Alternative Pose:

Kapotasana, Kakasana, Chaturanga Dandasana, Kumbhakasana, Supta padangusthasana, Purvottansana.

 

Reverse Poses:

Setu-Baddhasana, Supta Baddha konasana, Balasana, Apanasana.

  • Strengthens neck and Shoulder muscles
  • Open hip joints
  • Stimulates digestive fire
  • Improves concentration and balance
